GOLDFISH: LAST SA PERFORMANCE BEFORE EUROPEAN TOUR

Brazil, Amsterdam, Ibiza, Norway... Sounds like a dream vacation around the world? Actually, it’s just a few of the stops on Goldfish’s upcoming overseas tour, which sees our favourite afro-jazzy-groovy-housey local live act set their bags down on the party island of Ibiza for Europe’s Summer Season, and rack up some serious fan love- and flyer miles- as they hop, skip and Get Busy Living hard at iconic clubbing destinations around the globe.

Dom and Dave aka ‘The Fishies’ as we know them, set off in June until October and play in not one but two of the Top 5 Clubbing venues in the world as voted by the readers of Dj Mag. Green Valley in Brazil is a jungle wonderland-themed dancing experience with a reputation for a strict booking policy that means, only the hottest of the hot music entertainment bellows through the speakers of the 8000 capacity venue at the foot of a giant valley, surround by lush rainforest!

And Pacha in Ibiza, the infamous cherry-lined clubbing Mecca that consistently presents a sublime- and frankly, over the top amazing- showcase of the electronic music industry’s top muso’s. Goldfish have headlined massive nights alongside Faithless, Erick Morillo and Sander Kleinenberg for 4 years running and this year see’s them join the roster of David Guetta’s legendary F*CK ME I’M FAMOUS residency, which also includes Afrojack, Fatboy Slim and Sarah Main.

Their travels take them to London where Goldfish will be the supporting sound for iconic rock band INXS at the Southern Sounds Festival in June. INXS will play their first Live show in 5 years at what will be the biggest Australian, New Zealand and South African gathering in Europe! Lesser known is that the duo have also picked up an impressive Dutch following on their global travels and will be taking full advantage with appearances at several big festivals and clubs in The Netherlands this summer. They support Moby and Paulo Nutini at Mundial Festival in Tilburg, playing alongside Booka Shade, Kraak en Smaak and Secret Cinema at The After Work Festival in Amsterdam, and jamming it up with Groove Armada, Leftfield and Trentemoller at Oslo Festival in Oslo, Norway.
Now that’s repping their ‘Get Busy Living’ ethos from the heart!

On Saturday 28th May, Goldfish make their final stop at The Assembly for their revered local ‘adieu’ performance before chasing the sun and the fun beyond our borders. The night promises to be a spectacle of incredible lighting and surround sound, with their bevy of talented vocalists and confetti cannons to round up what is sure to be an epic final shakedown, celebrating the tunes that have been rocking SA all summer long! This event will sell out, so be sure to book your tickets in advance.
